More elaborate

I graduated from the Designacademy during the early days of Lidewij Edelkoort’s directorship, when the school adapted its more practical, product driven design approach towards a more conceptual direction for which it became well known. Receiving lessons from both sides.

After an inspiring year at Fabrica in Italy, I decided to set up camp in Amsterdam. Here I came in touch with the work of Petra Blaisse and fell in love! 11 years’ work for Inside Outside form the core of my experience. I have participated – in various roles – in great projects such as Snapshots (exhibition design for VanGogh Museum); Damask (wall installation in Stedelijk Museum, and Re-set (curtain installation during Venice Biennale of Architecture).

My knowledge has been deepened further by working for Butterfly Works in the field of Social Design (i.a. Return to Sender), doing research on the St. Petersburg State Hermitage for AMO, and co-edit a series of portraits on Inside Outside with filmmaker (and designer) Frans Parthesius.
